Kent Construction Expo Review

Thursday 7th October 2021

Team OSG were out in force at the Kent Construction Expo last Thursday and there was a great vibe at the event. This year’s Expo, which took place as usual at the Kent Event Centre at Detling, was very well attended. It was a great opportunity for the industry to get together in one place following two challenging years of virtual meetings whilst we all navigated the pandemic, and there was a genuine feeling of appreciation at being able to meet at such events in person once again.

Dan attended the Big Networking Breakfast and found the Q&A session with Guy Holloway particularly interesting. Dan had this to say:

The discussion gave some great personal insights into Guy’s thinking on trends in design and construction which aligned very much with our own philosophy on various matters such as sustainability and the carbon footprint in construction.

Keith and Jason worked their way around the expo enjoyed catching up with as many industry colleagues as they could in the time available.

Tracey attended the Dinner with the Women in Construction Group and said:

It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, catching up with old acquaintances and making new connections.  The comedian, Angela Barnes, was fabulous, as was the food and the company – great to see so many people together in once place after such a long time. Hats off to Cheryl Causebrook and Ella Brocklebank for all their hard work raising funds for Donations with a Difference, they barely sat down all evening!

Steve was even spotted once or twice!

Thank you to the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce and Revolution Events for putting on such a great event.
