OSG were invited to join with Crofton Design in providing consultancy services for a new Headquarters for DOKA UK. Doka are an Austrian company that have facilities worldwide, the supply formwork for insitu concrete casting. In terms of the facility an efficient site layout was conceived in line with the client’s requirements, permitting a one-way route for lorries, entering at one end of the site, dropping of used formwork then collecting new formwork on the other side of the building.
The yard itself needed to incorporate ample storage space for elements of formwork and a large timber storage tent also formed part of the project.
The warehouse is divided into 3 bays for the various stages of cleaning refurbishing and preparing the formwork. Each bay is fitted with high-speed automatic roller shutter doors, which allow for minimum heat loss during use and also reduce noise disturbance to building neighbours. The frontage is formed by 2 storeys of office space, which also connect back through to the warehouse.
