Luckley Field is situated at the foot of the North Downs in Wye, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site, previously designated as agricultural land, was allocated for twenty houses within the local plan. The site extends into the natural village boundary and lends itself to residential development.
The design complies with the strict space standards of Ashford Borough Council. It brings together traditional materials and details found in Wye, ranging from weatherboarding and brick to jetted first floors, as featured on local listed buildings. The orientation of the houses and the site led to a dual aspect design, with both inward- and outward- looking properties to make best use of the space.
