In collaboration with Leath Park Developments, OSG have provided a design for a new 85-bedroom care home on the site of a currently vacant care facility on Mont St Aignon Way, Edenbridge, Kent.
The design will provide accommodation over three storeys, with a range of facilities including a hairdressing and beauty salon, cinema, physiotherapy room, restaurant and café. The facility will be taller than the existing building; however, this will allow for a much more modern and well-appointed building and much larger external landscaped spaces for the residents, providing both communal and more private garden and patio areas.
We have considered the architectural style of the building carefully, in order to reflect the forms and materials already found in the vicinity. The building has been positioned on the site so that there is ample space between it and the site boundaries, to minimise its impact on neighbouring properties.
Sevenoaks District Council have already confirmed that there is an urgent need for a facility of this nature within the area and we are delighted to be involved in the provision of a building that will be so important to the local community. The current application has involved consultations with the local parish council, Sevenoaks District Council and working closely with our client and their other consultants.
